BlastGroups is a communication tool and online destination that helps members stay connected with their various groups. In order to better facilitate this, BlastGroups members can share and display personal information to other members which allows them to identify each other and expand their network of connections. You can change the personal information in your profile at any time.

The Information We Collect
When you use BlastGroups.com you provide us with information you knowingly submit that is collected by us and information collected by us as you interact with BlastGroups.com.
When you register with BlastGroups, you submit the following information: your name, your email address, your password, your gender, your birthdate, your time zone, you postal code, as well as any other information you choose to submit in the registration process (your "Account Information").
When you use BlastGroups, you may form connections by joining groups, send messages, perform searches and queries, and transmit information through various channels. We record the searches and queries and we collect information about these communications, including the groups you belong to, connections lists, calendar events, and lists of messages. In most cases, we retain such information so that, for instance, you can view prior messages you have sent or easily see your friend list.
You post User Content (as defined in the BlastGroups Terms of Use.) on the Site at your own risk. We cannot and do not guarantee that User Content you post on the Site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site, or for any actions any other user of the Site or Services takes with respect to your information. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies of User Content (including any of your information in such User Content) may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored your User Content. Please note that any personal information you submit to any "public" area of the Site or Service may be accessed by any person using the Site and is not subject to this privacy policy.
We also collect Site use information as you interact with BlastGroups.com, through, for example, the use of cookies. Such Site use information may include your IP address and what browser you are using.
Children Under Age 13
Children under the age of thirteen (13) are not eligible to use the Site or Service and must not submit any personal information to us.
Use of Information Obtained by BlastGroups
When you register with BlastGroups, you create your own personal information. Your information, as well as your name, email and photo, are displayed to people in the BlastGroups community to enable you to connect with those people. We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding services that we think you may find valuable.
Personal information is used by BlastGroups primarily to be presented back to and edited by you when you access the service and to be presented to others in your community.
BlastGroups will send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. You may opt out of promotional emails sent by BlastGroups at any point as described in the section titled "Changing or Removing Information" below. However, you may opt out of service-related announcements sent by BlastGroups (e.g., notices of a change in services) only by terminating your membership.
Other users may send you messages through the Service. For example, if a fellow group member adds content (such as a message, event, picture, link, etc.) to area on the Site for that group and chooses to "Blast" it out, you will receive an email notification alerting you to that new content (unless you have opted out of such Blasts). These notifications are sent to you by default, but you can choose (through your "My Settings" page) to block these notifications for each group in which you are a member.
Disclosure of Your Information
We may provide your personal information to third party contractors that deliver specific services to you on our behalf (such as hosting services or support services). These third parties are required not to disclose your personal information and not to use your personal information other than to provide the services requested by us.
Although BlastGroups currently does not have a parent company, any subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under a common control (collectively, "affiliates"), it may in the future. BlastGroups may share some of all of your personal information with these affiliates, in which case we will seek to require our affiliates to honor this privacy policy.
In the event of a change in ownership, or a merger with, acquisition by, or sale of assets to, another entity, we reserve the right to transfer all of BlastGroups's user information, including email addresses, to a separate entity. BlastGroups will notify users (via a posting on this site or email (in our discretion) of such a transfer.
We may disclose your personal information if required by a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order, where required by law, or, at our sole discretion, where we deem it necessary to protect the safety of any individual or the general public or to prevent violation of our Terms of Use or the rights of BlastGroups or any third party.
Third Party Advertising
Advertisements that appear on BlastGroups are sometimes delivered directly to users by third party advertisers or ad serving networks. These third party advertisers and ad serving networks may download cookies to your computer in order to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to make the content of their advertisements more personal. BlastGroups does not have access to or control of the cookies that may be placed by the third party advertisers. BlastGroups does not provide your contact information to these parties. This privacy policy does not cover the use of cookies or other tracking technologies by these parties.
Changing or Removing Information
You have access and control over your Account Information on BlastGroups. You can change or remove any of your Account Information by logging into your account and going to the "My Settings" page. If you would like your Account Information to be deleted, you may terminate your membership on the "My Settings" page of your account.
When you update your Account Information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information. You should know that, when you delete information, we may retain copies of that information in our backups or archives.
Security
Your Account Information is located on a server behind a firewall. Other security measures depend on your protection of your account password. Please do not disclose your account password to unauthorized people. You should know that, even though we take industry-standard steps to maintain security, we cannot eliminate risks to your personal information.
Terms of Use, Notices and Revisions
We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use at any time. If updates or changes are made we will post a notice at the top of this page and indicated the policy's effective date. You should visit this page periodically to review any such changes to the privacy policy. Your continued use of BlastGroups.com and BlastGroups Services will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.

Our provision of links to other websites or locations is for your convenience and does not signify our endorsement of such other websites or locations or their contents. Links to other websites or locations may also be posted by other Users within the Service. We have no control over, do not review, and cannot be responsible for these outside websites or their content. Please be aware that the terms of our Privacy Policy do not apply to these outside websites.
